Passport Card
Not for travel by air, it will be valid for land and sea crossings between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean only.

Cost for U.S. Passport book holders: $20 for adults. If you apply for both documents at the same time, the cost for first-time applicants is $120 for adults and $95 for minors.
Beginning as early as January 1, 2008, all U.S. citizens may be required to present a valid passport at all border crossings via land or sea (including ferries).
On January 23, 2007, this became a mandatory requirement for all air travel to these destinations.
